This popular sled run is now open and provides a wonderland of fun for children 12 and under.
Located adjacent to the visitors center, the hill is in operation daily (weather permitting) thanks to a combination of natural and man-made snow.
Safety personnel are on duty, and a loud speaker plays music. Hot chocolate is available at nearby restaurants.
Plastic sleds are required. Families may bring their own, or they’re available for rent and purchase at nearby stores on the mountain.
And it’s not just kids who love the hill. Parents like the heated restrooms and lobby in the adjacent visitors center, which has complimentary Wi-Fi service. Parents have even been known to share a sled with the kids, sometimes for hours at a time.
Hours of operation are: 1 to 5 p.m. weekdays; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Sledding is available through late February or early March, depending on the weather.
